About this calibration
Method
A halogen moisture analyser is checked in two parts: its balance with reference weights, and its heating with a temperature calibration kit. Karl Fischer titrators are checked with a sample of known water content (a certified water standard). Moisture meters are compared with a reference at several points. Your quotation states the method for each item.
How often
Commonly every 12 months, or sooner when moisture results decide whether a batch is released. Your quality system sets the interval.
Your certificate
Records the result against the reference at each point, the error and the measurement uncertainty; for moisture analysers, the balance and temperature results separately.
