About this calibration
Method
Compared with a reference: timers and stopwatches against a reference clock over a set period, tachometers against a reference that turns at known speeds, stroboscopes by measuring their flash rate with a reference counter, and frequency counters against a reference frequency. Your quotation states the test points.
How often
Commonly every 12 months. Your quality system, or the test procedure the instrument is used for, sets the interval.
Your certificate
Records the reading against the reference at each point, the error and the measurement uncertainty.
