About this calibration
Method
Checked with certified viscosity reference fluids at a controlled temperature; for rotational viscometers, with the spindles and speeds you use. Your quotation states the reference fluids and test points.
How often
Commonly every 12 months, or sooner if the viscometer is moved, serviced or its results start to drift. Your quality system sets the interval.
Your certificate
Records the measured viscosity against the reference value at each point, with the test temperature, the error and the measurement uncertainty; for capillary and falling-ball viscometers, the viscometer or ball constant.
